Who’s performing at Ecofest Music Festival 2024 this Weekend
Sierra Leone’s biggest music festival Ecofest (The Illumination), promises two fun-filled days of comedy, music, and fashion. The year’s festival, which is scheduled for December 20th and 21st, will take place at the Africell Building Beach Front, Bendu’s Drive, Lumley.
Ecofest will bring together a stellar lineup of top African artists, comedians, and entertainers. The festival showcases Sierra Leone entertainment’s best through cultural exchange
Tickets are SLE 200 for regular, SLE 500 for stage area, and SLE 2,500 for VIP.
Day 1: Comedy, Fashion, and Salone Culinary Delights
The festival kicks off with a night dedicated to comedy, fashion, and Sierra Leone’s rich culinary culture. International comedy heavyweights Sabinus and Brain Jotter from Nigeria will headline the show, promising non-stop laughter. They will be joined by Sierra Leone’s own comedic talents, including Robinho, Yemata, Oga Worwor, Faculty, Kindo Armani, and Comedian Selfie.
The first day will also host the much anticipated Mr. & Miss Ecofest Fashion Contest, offering laudable prizes for the winners. The star prize includes a fully paid trip to Dubai and SLE 50,000 cash, alongside other exciting rewards.
Adding flair to the evening will be guest acts such as Mus B, DT Empire, Aprill, Aminish, and Jenny S. The event will be hosted by the dynamic duo Phebean Swill and Mamy Thomas, ensuring an energetic and engaging night for attendees.
Day 2: Star-Studded Musical Concert, Dj’s and Hype Man Competition and Jam Session
On December 21st, Ecofest transforms into a global musical concert featuring an impressive lineup of artists from across Africa. Nigerian sensation will headline the night. The stage will come alive with Sierra Leonean music royalty, including Drizilik, Star Zee, KrackTwist, Camouflage, Therapist, Incredible JJ, Jelly Bee, and Bakitenno.
The festival will also feature renowned international acts, including Gyakie from Ghana, ST Brikama Boyo from Gambia, Tenin Diawara from Guinea, Anitram from Liberia, Senzaa from Togo, Jeff Bogolobango from Ivory Coast, DJ Shakez from UK, and Offgaard from the United States.
Furthermore, the second day will also feature DJ’s and Hype men competition followed by an exhilarating jam session. Hosting duties for Day 2 will be handled by Naked DJ from South Africa and Natasha Becklyn Sierra Leone’s iconic female rapper.

Abu Bakarr Turay ESQ, Chief Executive Officer of Kabaka Multimedia Entertainment (KME), highlighted EcoFest’s mission:
“Sierra Leone is a lesser-known music venue to Africa’s leading names in music. Even though we produce outstanding musical acts, we have yet to make our mark on the African music charts. With EcoFest, we bring great talent home, and we create a platform to market local music. EcoFest is a medium for cultural exchange through music,” said Turay.

Ecofest Music Festival has been held for the past five years. There have been several editions in Sierra Leone and one in the Gambia. This year’s edition “The Illumination” promises to be a landmark event on Sierra Leone’s entertainment calendar. Artists spanning from seven countries across Africa, including Liberia, Togo, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Ghana, and The Gambia.
